Feng Shui Wood Glycerin Soap by www.MagicSenses.comAnd the Award for BEST DESIGNER SOAP COLLECTION goes to… MAGIC SENSES!! Yay! What an event! For two consecutive days, a small collection of our soap was displayed at GBK’s Golden Globe Awards Gift Lounge hosted at L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills. Approximately 90 to 100 celebrities and guests visited our display and were gifted our soap in their swag bag.

Now, it’s time to find out which of our soap designs stole the stage at this event. And we are proud to say, without hesitation: Feng Shui Wood!

For those of you who haven’t tried our Feng Shui Wood soap, let us tell you a little bit about it. It’s one of our most popular scents for men; the design resembles the trunks of two trees and just like real trees, the design of our soap “tree trunks” is one-of-a-kind! The woodsy scent is very pleasant and calming, almost earthy.

We LOVE Lavender! Do you?

During the last few years, we’ve been adding different Lavender scents/products to our Collections. A couple of days ago, we re-launched one of our most popular fragrances, Lavender Rose! So, we’ll take a minute to feature all the Lavender goodies we have in our store.

First, we’ll start with our brand new design: Lavender Rose Glycerin Soap – the fragrance is very soft and calming; it has notes of lavender, rose, gardenia and jasmine. Very refreshing. The design has pink and purple “petals” with a touch of sparkle.

Next in line is our Lavender Glycerin Soap – made with a very strong essential oil – if you love a strong lavender scent, then this is it! Look no further!

In the same strong Lavender fragrance, we make our Lavender Shea Body Butter. It is light, fluffy, rich and creamy and a little bit will go a long way. It absorbs very easily preventing dryness and leaving your skin very soft and smooth.

I would also like to mention our Lemon Lavender Glycerin Soap – a design we displayed GBK’s Academy Awards Gift Lounge for all attending celebrities to see and smell! The event was held on February 20th – 21st at The W Hotel in Hollywood. You can read more about our adventure here. The fragrance is a mild blend of lemon and lavender, more on the lemony side though. Very pleasant!

And last but not least: our Lavender Oatmeal soap made with strong essential oil and a healthy supply of oatmeal. Great for exfoliating dry skin.

Big thanks to Beth at BPR Designs for featuring us on her blog today as “Soaper of the Week“!

The soap bars she featured are: Spearmint, Hyacinth (one of our latest designs), Lemon Lavender (displayed at the 2012 GBK’s Academy Awards Gift Lounge) and Soft Rain (gifted to celebrities at the 2012 GBK’s Academy Awards Gift Lounge).

BPR Designs and Magic Senses have joined forces in the past when we donated samples/gifts to cancer survivors attending “Casting for Recovery“, a program that offers “an opportunity for women whose lives have been profoundly affected by breast cancer to gather in a natural setting and learn the sport of fly fishing”.

Our Cranberry Handcrafted Glycerin Soap bar has just received a makeover and is back in stock! Cranberry is one of our most popular soaps during the Holiday season, next to Peppermint and Orange Clove.

New Soaps Added to Our Harmony Soap Collection

We have great news! After a lot of testing and customer feedback, we are proud to launch three new beautiful soaps: Peony, Lily of the Valley and Hawaiian Jasmine. The fragrances we use are very soft and pleasant. We added them to our Harmony Collection (next to Bamboo Jasmine, Chamomile Oatmeal and Citrus Linen).

While testing, we made between 5 – 9 different designs in each of the new fragrances. We had a hard time choosing (Hawaiian Jasmine was the most difficult one) so we asked our customers: which design would you buy? And we got our answer! I want to take a moment to thank Jennifer, Jane, Nikki and the dozens of customers who kindly gave us feedback on their favorite soap design, thus helping us choose the most beautiful ones of them all.

Each bar in the Harmony soap collection weighs 5 oz and comes in its own clear box with a gold stretch loop, ready to be offered as a gift to that special someone.

Magic Senses soaps are handmade in small batches, therefore each of them is unique. We use vegetable glycerin soap base that is SLS free, vegan friendly and is not tested on animals. We make our soap right here, in Stockton, California.

Orange Clove Handmade Glycerin Soap

Orange Clove Glycerin Soap

It’s really no surprise that the Orange Clove Glycerin Soap is one of our most popular holiday soaps, if not the most popular. In 2007 and 2008, it was the top selling soap for the holidays and when you breathe in the fragrance of this soap, you’ll know why. The combination of cloves with oranges, and a hint of nutmeg and cinnamon, are traditional scents used during the holiday season. If you hold this soap under your nose, close your eyes and inhale, you’ll think it’s that time of year already.

Although some soaps and candles have an orange fragrance that can be a bit sweet and overwhelming, this isn’t the case with the Orange Clove Soap. By using orange scented fragrance oil, the soap has a fresh, sharp orange smell. It’s almost as if you had peeled an orange yourself or poured a glass of cool Florida orange juice.

Saying that, the sharp zing of the orange scent, makes this an ideal soap for starting your day. While the cloves have a smooth, sultry fragrance, especially when combined with nutmeg and cinnamon, it’s the orange that will get you moving. The combination of scents used in this soap is something to experience, as the initial smell is of the cloves and it ends with the orange.

As with all our soaps, this not only smells great, but it’s handmade using vegetable glycerin, so it’s pretty to look at and great for your skin. But remember, this is a seasonal soap, so it isn’t made all year round. We currently only make it from September to March, so don’t miss out on your chance to enjoy this popular glycerin soap!

Mountain Rain Handmade Glycerin Soap

Mountain Rain is one of the latest additions to the Magic Senses family of handmade glycerin soaps. As with all of our other soaps, the time taken to perfect the look, feel and smell of Mountain Rain is more than evident.

By using gardenia, Mountain Rain has a floral scent that is refreshing instead of overwhelming. Just leaving the soap out in your bathroom will make it one of the best smelling rooms in the house. Plus, the blue and green “raindrops” mean that not only is the soap functional, but it’s pretty to look at also.

The undertones of lavender, patchouli and vanilla make using this soap a relaxing and calming experience. When you lather up with Mountain Rain, you will feel like you have been whisked away to a fragrant English country garden in the spring. By closing your eyes and breathing in this lovely fragrance, your cares will just melt away.

Of course, because our Mountain Rain soap is predominantly made with vegetable glycerin, it is extremely moisturizing. Whether using it as a hand soap or when you are in the shower or bath, the soap will quickly form luxurious foaming bubbles. Not only will the scent relax you, but your skin will thank you. The more you use any glycerin soaps, the softer your skin will become. As an added benefit, not only will your skin be moisturized, it will be healthier and look younger!

One thing to remember is that glycerin-based soaps are soft soaps. This means that they can melt easier than other soaps, so it may not last as long as harder, commercially produced soaps. On the other hand, the fact that Mountain Rain soap smells and feels so great will probably mean that you will want to use it more anyway!
